This job is posted by Ponca City Development Authority, but will be hired by Bower's Trucking.  

Bower's Trucking is  seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven  Truck Dispatcher to join our fast-growing transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating freight movements, communicating with drivers and brokers, maximizing truck profitability, and ensuring on-time deliveries while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispatch and coordinate drivers for daily freight operations.
• Source and book profitable loads through load boards and broker relationships.
• Negotiate freight rates to maximize revenue and minimize deadhead miles.
• Monitor driver locations and delivery schedules.
• Communicate with drivers, brokers, and customers regarding load updates.
• Manage load documentation, rate confirmations, and dispatch records.
• Resolve issues related to delays, breakdowns, and route changes.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Truck Dispatcher, Freight Dispatcher, or Logistics Coordinator preferred.
• Strong knowledge of load boards such as DAT and Truckstop.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
• Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with dispatch software.
• Knowledge of trucking regulations and freight operations.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
