Overview
Social Worker – Medical Social Worker, based in Lawrenceville, Georgia, begins 06/29/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Pay is $1,641–$1,785 per week with guaranteed 40 hours weekly. Shift is 12:00 PM–8:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves acute care, inpatient-level psychosocial assessment, discharge planning, and care coordination. Note: no local candidates within 50 miles.

Responsibilities
- Conduct psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify social, emotional, and financial needs
- Develop and implement discharge planning and post-discharge resources in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed to support patients and families
- Coordinate care, advocate for services, and connect patients with community resources
- Document assessments, plans, and outcomes in the electronic medical record and ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements
- Active GA LCSW license
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in medical social work or within the specialty
- Acute care/inpatient social work experience
- Ability to work in an acute care setting with a Monday–Friday 12:00 PM–8:30 PM schedule
- Eligible to work in Georgia (or authorized to work in the U.S. per employer requirements)
