Job Description

The responsibilities of a Service Advisor include scheduling appointments, greeting customers, listening to their needs & concerns, documenting concerns on repair orders, following up on repairs in shop & communicating with technicians & vehicle owners. They may also set up rental or loaner cars and verify insurance before maintenance is scheduled. Service Advisor Compensation and Benefits: * Competitive Pay * Health Insurance Available * 401K Available Service Advisor Responsibilities: * Greet customers promptly * Obtain customer and vehicle information * Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer * Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle * Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts * Establish follow up time & deliver * Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently * Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order

  • Explain all completed work & charges to customers
  • Receive payments from customers & warranty companies
  • Take necessary & required training
Service Advisor Requirements: * Previous experience at a Franchise dealership or Independent Service Center is a plus * Ability to identify the problem quickly * Knowledge of automobiles * Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction * Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant * Very energetic personality * A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization * Personal and professional integrity * Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs * Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications * Minimum of 1 year in service department * Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Basic computer skills * Positive, friendly attitude * High school diploma or equivalent We are an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
