This position requires a multi-skilled person to perform all phases of maintenance within our organization. Multi-tasking of both mechanical and electrical skills to maintain our equipment and processes. To be capable of performing tasks requires us to rebuild, modify or adjust our equipment and processes related to producing the best product possible. To follow and carry out the tasks assigned efficiently and completely. To train others as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Ability to analyze and troubleshoot equipment quickly and efficiently

•Must be capable of adjusting components to obtain and maintain proper performance based on manufacturer and company guidelines

•Must be capable of repairing both mechanically and electrically defective parts

•Capable of utilizing, obtaining, and retaining information gathered from the manufacturers’ manuals and drawings and using this information in maintaining those components and processes within the manufacturers’ specification

•Willing to function as a team member toward the achievement of this company’s goals and objectives

•Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

•High school diploma or GED (preferred)

•Maintenance Mechanic: 5 years (Preferred)

•Food Industry background preferred

•Knowledge of equipment such as Multivac, ProSeal, GEA, Handtmann, Riser and related processing and packaging equipment would be a plus

•Ability to communicate clearly and competently with others

•Must have all basic tools (specialized tools will be provided)

•Strong Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic knowledge

•Basic Electrical knowledge

•Able to read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints

•5+ years industrial maintenance experience in food manufacturing

•Basic PLC knowledge would be a plus

•Sanitary TIG/MIG welding a plus

•Ability to work a flexible schedule
