Commercial Claims Adjuster

Location: Harrisburg, PA (Onsite)

Compensation: $66,000-$70,000 Base Salary + Annual Bonus Potential

Our client is a well-established insurance organization that has been providing specialized insurance and risk management solutions for decades. With a reputation for stability, service, and long-term growth, they are seeking a Commercial Claims Adjuster to join their Harrisburg-based team.

This position offers the opportunity to handle a diverse mix of commercial auto liability, physical damage, cargo, and general liability claims while working alongside an experienced and collaborative claims department.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve commercial insurance claims

• Manage commercial auto liability and physical damage claims

• Handle bodily injury claims and settlement negotiations

• Review cargo and general liability claims

• Communicate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, agents, medical providers, and vendors

• Maintain accurate and thorough claim documentation

• Analyze claim exposure and determine appropriate resolution strategies

• Resolve claims within authority limits and escalate larger exposures when necessary

• Manage multiple claims while maintaining quality and service standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of claims handling or claims adjusting experience

• Experience handling bodily injury claims

• Strong investigative, analytical, and negotiation skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Bachelor's Degree preferred

Preferred Experience

• Commercial Auto Liability

• Physical Damage Claims

• Cargo Claims

• General Liability Claims

• Trucking Claims

Licensing

• Active Adjuster License preferred

• Texas or Florida Home State Adjuster License preferred

• Candidates willing to obtain licensing will also be considered

This is a fully onsite position located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Business attire is required Monday through Thursday, with business casual attire permitted on Fridays.
