Hawaii Fluid Art Mt Juliet is a dynamic art studio located in Mount Juliet, TN. We are dedicated to cultivating a creative and inclusive environment where individuals of all skill levels can explore and learn new art techniques. Our studio offers a variety of classes and experiences, designed to be both fun and professional, ensuring a safe and welcoming space. No prior art experience is required to participate in our workshops and sessions.

Role Description

This is a part-time with the potential to be full-time, on-site role for an Art Instructor in our Mount Juliet, TN studio. The Art Instructor will be responsible for leading art classes, teaching techniques in fluid art, resin projects, glass painting, assisting participants in developing their artistic skills, and creating engaging art curricula. The role involves maintaining a creative and supportive atmosphere while ensuring all participants feel encouraged and inspired. Collaboration with other team members to enhance the studio's overall experience is also an essential part of this role.

Other responsibilities:

Open and close the studio (key holder responsibilities)

Process sales and manage POS system

Maintain studio cleanliness, supply levels, and organization

Keeping track of inventory weekly

Assist with social media content and marketing activities as needed

Promote add-on sales and studio events to guests

Lead and assist with parties and special events

Ensure the studio operates smoothly

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Painting, and other visual art forms
  • Experience in Teaching and Training
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individuals of varying skill levels
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse participants
  • A positive, patient, and enthusiastic attitude toward teaching and art
  • Previous experience in an art studio setting, while not required, is a plus
  • Flexibility to work onsite in Mount Juliet, TN
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or art education training is a plus
  • Responsible and trustworthy with leadership potential
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be 21+ with reliable transportation
