Accounts Payable Specialist

Contract – immediate need

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant for a 1-month contract with a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and record vendor invoices accurately and timely within the appropriate accounting period
• Reconcile Accounts Payable balances with aging reports, general ledger, and bank activity
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding A/P matters
• Review daily cash activity and record transactions in the general ledger
• Prepare journal entries and assist with bank reconciliations
• Support monthly close activities, including account reconciliations and adjustments
• Assist with special projects and additional accounting duties as needed

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of Accounts Payable or Staff Accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Education & Skills:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
• Experience with accounting systems (Sage preferred)
